Ribbit.
Self, don't work on a stockinette baby blanket while watching compelling television. You will knit 8 stitches smack in the middle of a purl row and not realize it until six rows later.
The baby blanket is no longer a diagnonal one-stranded blanket, but is now a basketweave two-stranded blanket. Its future existence in any form is in doubt.
I want to put more pictures here, but some male person in my house has misplaced the camera cord. Maybe we can find it this weekend.

Yet another WIP list
Again, for my benefit more than the random person who stumbles across this nonsense:
- Baby blanket that I was insane to cast on, maybe 1/3 done.
- AMG's giant totebag, who knows how much done, I don't even know how big it will be yet.
- Aforementioned sweater for darling daughter, not sewn together yet (it's a cardigan, she can still use it this spring).
- Aforementioned sweater for me (out of Yarn Girls' Guide to Simple Knits, for those following along at home).
- Aforementioned neglected feather and fan shawl (Knitpicks.com, of course!).
I'm chugging away at the baby blanket every night, and it occurred to me that a sock is *much* smaller than a 26" square baby blanket. I am really thinking of doing this sock thing (in worsted, of course) when I'm done with the blanket. The tote bag is the perfect mindless knitting, round and round and round.
I ordered Mason Dixon knitting and am wanting to make a log cabin blanket, somebody stop me!

This is the below mentioned multidirectional scarf in Malabrigo Stonechat:

starting off
For my purposes as much as anything,
WIP:
- Malabrigo multidirectional scarf, over half done. This will be done soon.
- Lamb's Pride bulky sweater, back, half the front. I dread the sleeves, which will require extra length stuck in there.
- Off needles but not finished yet, little sweater for darling daughter. I should be sewing the pieces together instead of posting here. Heh.
- Abandoned for months, feather and fan shawl. Need to get back to this.
I have been listening to the lime and violet podcasts while at work at the Most Boring Job Ever, and I want to try socks. Worsted weight socks, because I'm not knitting all of those teensy tiny stitches that Lanie loves so much (0000s are for masochists, honey). I wish she was here to teach me socks as planned, instead of me moving here.
How's that for a rambling, boring first post? I feel like I should break a bottle of champagne over the bow.
